Pressure-sensitive adhesives are widely used in electronic appliances and are mainly reflected in the following aspects.

 

 

1. Electrical insulation. Electrical insulation is mainly Transformers, interlayer insulation and outsourcing seals of electromagnetic coils, wire and cable connectors and end insulation. The most commonly used are polyvinyl chloride tape and polyester tape. When you need heat resistance, you can use organosilicon pressure sensitizer tape based on glass cloth, polytetrafluoroethylene or polyimide. Small Transformers and low pressure coils are insulated, end fixed and outsourced with polyvinyl chloride, polyester, polypropylene, or pressure sensitive tape of base materials such as impregnated and coated paper and cloth. For large Transformers requiring heat resistance, aromatic polyamides and glass tape should be used, as well as polyimide, polytetrafluoroethylene or silicone impregnated glass tape. In order to improve the electrical insulation performance of Transformers, the vacuum impregnation treatment of insulating paint is generally carried out. At this time, the pressure-sensitive tape must be resistant to the impregnation of insulating paint.

 

2. Welding masking and surface protection. In the connection section of the printed circuit board, electroplating process must be carried out to improve the contact performance. When the circuit board is subjected to peak welding, it is necessary to cover the non-tin part; Use masking tape when spraying. The masking tape is generally used for high strength thin paper, wrinkled paper or polyester film as a substrate. It also requires solvent resistance, and the wave peak welding masking tape requires instantaneous resistance to high temperatures above 230 °C. Advanced nameplates and spray surfaces for household appliances, the glass screen surface of the video tube, and the surface of the electronic calculator are mostly protected by a protective film(a special pressure sensitive tape) based on a polyethylene membrane. Requirements for easy stripping, pressure sensitive glue should not remain while contaminating the protective surface. Semiconductor and integrated circuit silicon chips also use protective film.

 

3. Cluster fixation. The cluster and terminal treatment of electromagnetic coils such as deflection coils and demagnetizing coils of TV sets mostly use flame retardant PVC tape. Fixed and sealed for electric catheters or splints such as refrigerators and washing machines; Refrigerator, air conditioner production process, foam polyurethane or foam polyethylene and other thermal insulation materials fixed and sealed during the molding, picture tube glass shell and anti-explosive hoops between the buffer application of a variety of pressure sensitive tape. When the printed circuit board is assembled, the plug-in automation needs to be neatly arranged. The use of paper-based pressure sensitive tape can make a single component into a banded and orderly packaging form. The entire factory will then follow the pre-programmed instructions based on various components. The program performs secondary sorting. This is the only method in the current electronics industry that can perform high-speed automatic plug-ins. In addition, the automatic production of porcelain chip capacitors, polyester capacitors and resistors also requires pressure sensitive tape for tape binding. Electronic equipment tends to be ultra-miniaturized, and the production of sheet(unleaded) components will increase, resulting in a significant increase in the use of pressure sensitive tape and thermally fused pressure sensitizers for unleaded component packaging.

 

4. Double sided paste. The installation of dial boards for audio equipment and the use of double-sided tape signage in the door of color TV sets can greatly improve their operation. The foam polyurethane is the base of the double-sided tape is also widely used in the sound viewing equipment machine for seismic protection. The end of the flexible circuit board required for the miniaturization of electronic computers and other equipment, the installation of the diaphragm switch used on the keyboard of the electronic calculator, and the installation and fixation of the polarizer of the liquid crystal display all use double-sided tape.
