According to the chemical structure of its main polymer, the pressure sensitive adhesive can be divided into rubber type pressure sensitive adhesive and resin type pressure sensitive adhesive. Commonly used pressure-sensitive adhesives can be further divided into 5 categories:
(1) Acrylate adhesive acrylates are acrylate copolymers obtained by copolymerization of various monomers. Generally, there is no need to add additional adhesive resins, softeners, antiaging agents, etc.. Good compaction adhesion performance, excellent aging resistance, As a result, it has developed very rapidly and is gradually replacing natural rubber pressure sensitizers.
(2) Natural rubber pressure sensitive adhesive Natural rubber type pressure sensitive adhesive is the earliest development and large amount of rubber pressure sensitive adhesive, the main component is natural rubber, with adhesive resin, softener, anti-aging agent, vulcanizer, solvent, etc.. Since natural rubber has a high cohesive strength and elasticity, it also has good compatibility, compressive sensitivity and creep resistance, so it can produce a sticky and moist pressure sensitizer. Because there are unsaturated double bonds in the structure of natural rubber macromolecules, it has the disadvantage of poor aging resistance.
(3) Compassion sensitizers such as synthetic rubber and recycled rubber adhesive are synthetic rubber such as butylbenzene rubber, polyisobutene, polyisoprene, butyl rubber, cis-butadiene rubber, neoprene rubber, nitrile rubber, etc.. Separate or combined as the main body, It is made of adhesive resin, softener, antiaging agent, mixed solvent, etc..
(4) Thermoplastic elastomers are mainly thermoplastic elastomers represented by SIS(styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer) and SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer) as the main raw materials, It is worth popularizing by adding adhesive resin, softener, antioxygen agent and so on, saving energy and eliminating pollution.
(5) The organosilicon pressure sensitizer, composed of two organic resins and silicone rubber with different relative molecular mass, of organosilicon and other resin types, has excellent adhesion to both high-energy and low-energy surfaces. It has good high temperature(500 °C) and aging resistance. However, the price is more expensive and the application is limited. Other resins such as polyurethane, polyester, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA), PVC, etc. can also be used to form various pressure sensitizers.
