Commonly Used Pressure Sensitive Adhesives.

At present, there are three types of pressure sensitive adhesive: rubber pressure sensitive adhesive, acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive and silicone pressure sensitive adhesive.

 

 

1. Rubber pressure sensitizer. Rubber pressure sensitizer is the most widely used type of pressure sensitizer. The rubber used is natural rubber, synthetic rubber and recycled rubber. Compatibility, compactness and creep resistance of natural rubber as adhesive are good, and the resistance to aging is poor, and the hardness changes greatly. The pressure sensitive adhesive with synthetic rubber as the adhesive has better heat resistance and durability than natural rubber, but the adhesion strength is worse. Regenerated rubber as a adhesive can only use natural rubber regenerated rubber, synthetic rubber regenerated rubber effect is very poor, not suitable for use. For the pressure sensitive adhesive with natural rubber as the adhesive, natural rubber and synthetic rubber can be used together, partially vulcanized and cross-linked, grafting modification or adding appropriate reinforcement filler modification. These methods can improve the aging resistance of the adhesive layer and increase the service life of the adhesive.


2. Acrylate type pressure sensitizer. Acrylate type pressure sensitive adhesive is the only pressure sensitive adhesive used after rubber type. Its adhesive is the copolymer of acrylate and other ethylene monomers. The copolymeric monomer is divided into main monomer, secondary monomer and functional monomer. The main monomer has butyl acrylate, which provides toughness and adhesion. Submonomers are methyl methacrylate, styrene, etc., which are hard monomers and can provide stiffness and cohesion strength. Functional monomers are monomers that contain other functional groups, such as methyl acrylate, which can play a crosslinking role in the polymerization process and further improve adhesion, cohesion, and heat resistance creep. This scientific monomer combination can make the copolymer itself have the basic properties of pressure sensitive adhesive, so acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive is almost a single component. Compared with rubber type pressure sensitive adhesive, acrylate type pressure sensitive adhesive has excellent weather resistance and heat resistance, good oil resistance, transparent layer and no phase separation and migration. Due to the introduction of various polar groups through copolymerization, the effect of subvalency between molecules is increased, so it has a relatively large adhesion strength and cohesive strength.


3. Organic Silicon pressure sensitizer. Silicone pressure sensitizer is made of silicone rubber and silicone resin. Silicone rubber is the basic component of pressure sensitizer, and silicone is used as adhesive. The performance of the pressure sensitive adhesive changes with the change of the ratio of the two. In the formula, the relative molecular mass of silica gel is about 1.5 × 10, but the appropriate selection of silicone resin requires an active terminal at the end. Commonly used are methyl Silicon resin, methyl phenyl Silicon resin, phenyl vinyl Silicon resin. They all have good thermal stability. The adhesion performance of organosilicon pressure sensitizer is good. The adhesion is on the aluminum sheet and the strength is 21 MPa. After 260 °C and 7D, the strength is unchanged. The backing material for organosilicon pressure sensitizer is polyester and polyester. Wait.
