Factors affecting the viscosity of the tape.
Adhesive Encyclopedia / 2018-08-08

The adhesive tape we use is not always sticky. For example, when the tape is left on hold for a long time and damp, its viscosity is greatly reduced. The adhesive tape is also affected by the temperature. When the low temperature reaches a certain level, It is not as sticky as it used to be, and most of the tape used in industry is still able to withstand high temperatures. Nowadays, many kinds of high temperature tape that appear on the market are basically suitable for industry. For example, it is very popular in the construction industry and electronic production.

The reasons that we say today that affect the adhesive bond strength are mainly analyzed from the relationship between the adhesive and the adhesive. They mainly come from two aspects:

First, the electronegativity of the adhesive and the adhesive: the electronegativity is the electrostatic force between two substances with opposite charges. Acidic substances are generally expressed as hot, while alkalinity is generally expressed as negative. According to the principle of positive and negative attraction, the greater the electronegativity between the adhesives and adhesives, the tighter the adhesion.

The degree of difference between the acid and base of the adhesive and the adhesive: The degree of difference between the acid and base refers to the difference in the pH value of the two substances. The greater the difference, the better the bond. An acid polymer called acrylic gum is introduced here. The alkaline substances that we can usually come into contact with are glass, metal oxides, inorganic surfaces, etc., and the acidity and alkalinity of organic substances are diverse, and we should specifically analyze and judge.
